As a Lead Software Engineer, you will oversee the software design process for products we are developing. You’ll develop and test software to ensure it meets the needs of our clients, performing code reviews and providing feedback to junior developers and engineers.

What you will do:

  • Lead and participate in the software development process from design to implementation
  • Work with other developers and architects on improvements to our development process
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to debug and improve products
  • Facilitate new software implementation in an Agile environment
  • Participate in code reviews and enforce standard practices within the team
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance

What you will bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in developing in Java/J2EE, Design Patterns and Open-Source frameworks
  • Solid expertise on Spring, Spring Boot and other Spring ecosystem technologies
  • 2 years of minimum experience with AWS or cloud technologies.
  • 2 years of minimum experience with relational databases and PL/SQL
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining a complex software solution involving multiple stakeholders
  • Strong documentation, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and test driven development
  • Proven experience building highly scalable web applications.

What will set you apart:

  • Implementation experience including unit testing.
  • Familiar with application architecture, three-tier architecture, and design patterns
  • A background in Retirement, Finance, or the Insurance Industry 
  • Excellent communication and technical influencing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

Base Salary Range

$109,600.00 - $158,950.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
