- Assist in the design and scope of the audit program and testing steps.
- Perform inquiry, observation, and testing, utilizing experience and professional skepticism.
- Document work papers in a clear and concise manner and in accordance with departmental standards.
- Conclude on testing results based on current processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with management to determine appropriate recommended actions.
- Draft audit findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner and in accordance with departmental standards.
- Works on multiple and complex issues where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Analyze reporting to highlight trends and anomalies warranting further detail review.
- Identifying what is different and anticipating the Department s next steps to mitigate future issues.
- Research the anomalies and create solutions to improve processes, automate specific tasks, and enhance control reporting.
- Takes a broader perspective to identify innovative solutions for functional area.
- Sought out as a resource for others.
- Offer suggestions, develops training material, and shares job knowledge as needed.
- Networks with key contacts outside own functional area.
- Manage aspects of the logical access review and monitoring process
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent industry experience
- FINRA fingerprinting required.
- 3-4+ years of audit or equivalent experience in audit preferred.
- Has wide ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative ways.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Comprehensive knowledge of the business, the internal record keeping system and products/services will be required.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong customer service skills, along with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Moderate level of autonomy and degree of decision making and escalates high impact decisions to management while using general instructions to perform assigned tasks.
- Develops working relationships with peers and management Interacts with a wide audience, including senior leaders and frontline staff, as well as special projects teams, vendors, and other internal and external outside entities.
- Must possess demonstrated project management skills including but not limited to good planning, time management, decision making, presentation and organization skills
