Leads a data consulting team and drive data-driven decision making across our organization. The director will be responsible for managing a team of data consultants, data architects and developers, overseeing client engagements, and providing strategic guidance to stakeholders on data related projects. This role requires a strong background in data analysis, project management and client engagement.
Partner with multiple stakeholders spanning business and technology to look at project delivery from a data perspective, typically to deliver a specific product or transformation via a multi-disciplinary, highly skilled consulting and delivery team. Deliver projects and products using the appropriate methodology, learning & iterating frequently. Defining project needs and feeding these into the program/portfolio process to improve the data life cycle looking at all aspects encompassing data publication, data curation, data security and data availability. This role sets analytical direction, oversees delivery of high-impact insights, and advises senior leaders on complex, data-driven decisions. The position balances strategy, execution, and people leadership to advance analytics maturity and align insights with enterprise priorities.
The role drives best practices, influences data governance and standards, and ensures analytics investments deliver measurable business value.
• DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
ü Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success.
ü Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, understanding their data needs, maintain strong client relationships and aligning services to their objectives. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
ü Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations.
ü Conduct data analysis and develop insights, reports, and visualizations to support projects. Ensure that data-driven recommendations are based on accurate and meaningful data.
ü Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders on data related matters including data strategy, data governance and analytics best practices.
ü Implement quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of data accuracy security and integrity.
ü Identify opportunities for cross platforming and leveraging common services to stakeholders while contributing to the development of new business processes and participating in data identification efforts.
ü Allocates resources and prioritizes initiatives to maximize business value.
ü Drives adoption of emerging tools, methodologies, and analytical best practices.
EDUCATION:
o Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
o Master's degree in related systems or business field is strongly desired.
OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Minimum fourteen (14) years of experience including at least five (5) years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people.
o Hands on experience on AWS cloud services and columnar databases ( Snowflake/Databricks)
o Experience with complex data environments and high-volume data stores
o Experience with multiple products in the space of Business intelligence and data analytics including but not limited to SAS, Tableau, SAP business objects, Alteryx, Qlik, Quicksight, PowerBI etc
o Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages( e.g Python, R, SQL)
o Experience with real time data streaming platforms ( STRIIM/Kafka/DMS)
