Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our security team. As an Infrastructure Security Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in configuring, maintaining, and supporting the security of enterprise infrastructure and network environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. This role focuses on day-to-day security operations, firewall and network security configuration, routing support, troubleshooting, and automation.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and support secure infrastructure and network security controls to ensure stable, reliable, and secure operations.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls and network security devices, including policies, NAT, routing, and traffic flows.
• Configure, support, and troubleshoot network routing and connectivity, including BGP route configurations across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and alerts from firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, proxy, and other security platforms.
• Maintain and support security tools and technologies across the enterprise environment.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and platform teams to ensure security controls are properly implemented and operating as intended.
• Implement security-related changes in accordance with established change management and operational processes.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting to identify root causes and restore service availability for security and network issues.
• Support incident response activities by assisting with investigation, escalation, and remediation of infrastructure and network security incidents.
• Automate security and infrastructure operational tasks using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Create, maintain, and update Terraform scripts to support Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation for firewall rules, routing configurations, automation workflows, and operational procedures.
• Stay informed of emerging infrastructure security threats, network technologies, and best practices.
• Provide operational support and guidance to team members on security tools and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, network, or security engineering roles.
• Strong experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting firewalls and network security devices (Palo Alto Networks preferred).
• Practical experience with network routing and connectivity, including BGP, NAT, VPNs, and IP traffic flow troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and network security concepts.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform.
• Scripting or automation experience using Python or similar languages.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting security platforms such as IDS/IPS, NAC, and proxy solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, operational environment.

What Will Set You Apart:

• 4+ years of experience operating and supporting infrastructure security controls in enterprise environments.
• 4+ years of experience supporting security tools and performing security operations.
• 4+ years of experience supporting network security and routing within IP-based environments.
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining configurations for firewalls and network security devices.
• Experience automating operational tasks and supporting large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, proxy, and network monitoring platforms.
• Strong technical knowledge of network systems, protocols, and standards such as TCP/IP.
• 2+ years of programming or scripting experience using Python, shell, or similar languages.
• Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent are a plus.
