The Analyst will drive capacity planning initiatives across multiple business lines. This role plays a pivotal function in partnering directly with senior leaders (including Directors and VPs) to develop, refine, and implement robust planning, forecasting and workforce models that align operational capabilities with business goals. This role will bring a blend of analytical expertise, strong business acumen, and exceptional communication skills, enabling them to drive informed decisions across the enterprise. Experience with process optimization, long-range planning, and stakeholder engagement is critical, along with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification to ensure a disciplined approach to problem solving and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Own and lead the enterprise capacity planning function across Empower Personal Wealth.
- Design integrated planning frameworks that align business growth, workforce needs, and financial objectives.
- Engage with SVPs, Directors, and senior Finance leadership to guide organizational headcount decisions.
- Work with the Process and Workforce Optimization team to model the impact of efficiencies, automation, and tech enhancements
- Identify and quantify process inefficiencies and propose capacity-driven solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Serve as SME for operational planning during mergers, reorganizations, or large-scale strategic changes.
- Proactively identify risks to staffing strategies and implement contingency planning models.
- Drive adoption of capacity models and continuously improve them based on business feedback, changing volume trends, and operational realities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s in industrial engineering, Applied Statistics, or Business Analytics preferred
- 8–12 years in capacity planning, workforce strategy, or business operations.
- Proven leadership of cross-functional analytics or workforce planning initiatives
- Experience influencing executive leadership and managing high-stakes decision environments
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or retirement planning industries strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to analyze and present large datasets to a business audience; comfort with ambiguity and driving clarity from complexity.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (required or in progress) preferred
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, what-if modeling), Power BI, QuickSight, Tableau, and statistical tools (Python, R, SAS, etc.) preferred
- Experience designing and maintaining long-range capacity and headcount models that tie directly to business outcomes preferred
- Strong leadership and executive presence; ability to influence at C-level preferred
- Deep proficiency in planning tools, data visualization, and scripting languages preferred
