The AI Platform Sr Developer designs, builds, tests, deploys, and supports reusable enterprise AI platform capabilities. The role enables AI solution teams to adopt approved patterns for model access, experimentation, orchestration, retrieval augmented generation, observability, security controls, and integration with enterprise systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain reusable AI platform services, APIs, SDKs, and automation patterns.
- Implement complex integrations with approved LLM services, AI gateways, orchestration frameworks, vector/search services, and enterprise identity patterns.
- Build and support CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, telemetry, and operational runbooks for AI platform components.
- Partner with architecture, cybersecurity, data, privacy, and solution delivery teams to ensure platform capabilities meet enterprise controls.
- Troubleshoot incidents, reliability issues, performance bottlenecks, access issues, and environment defects across development and test environments.
- Document platform patterns, onboarding guidance, reusable components, and developer enablement material.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: University or College education in Computer Science, Engineering, Data/Analytics, Business/Technology, Risk/Governance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
Experience and skills:
- 5-8 years of experience in building backend services, APIs, automation, cloud-native applications, or platform services.
- Hands-on experience with Python and modern software engineering practices; JavaScript/TypeScript or Java/.NET is an asset.
- Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD, containers, Infrastructure as Code, logging, monitoring, and secure development practices.
- Exposure to LLM application patterns, RAG, prompt orchestration, vector search, model evaluation, and AI observability is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, documentation, problem solving, and operational support skills.
