As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and optimizing our CI/CD workflows using GitLab. Your primary focus will be building robust, scalable, and secure pipelines that support our development teams in delivering high-quality software efficiently. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, security teams, and cloud engineers to automate testing, artifact management, and deployment processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about streamlining software delivery through automation and DevSecOps best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

  • Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.

  • Develop automation scripts and tools using Python and Shell scripting.

  • Integrate DevSecOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.

  • Manage and optimize artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, GitLab Package Registry) and build tools like Maven (mvn).

  • Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues.

  • Maintain and improve infrastructure as code (IaC) practices across Azure and AWS environments.

  • Use JIRA to manage tasks, track progress, and collaborate across teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles.

  • Strong expertise in GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Shell (Bash).

  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure software delivery.

  • Experience with artifact repositories and build tools like mvn.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure in Azure and AWS.

  • Familiarity with JIRA for agile project management.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Azure, AWS, or Kubernetes.

  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk).

  • Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
