Job Summary

A Senior Basis Administrator is required to work as part of a core team of technology specialists to provide operational support and support project delivery within the Corporate Technology division.  This individual will be responsible for SAP software installation, upgrades, applying Support Stacks, SAP profile parameter changes, workload analysis, performance monitoring/tuning and system health checks.  

Essential Functions

• Product Solution and Delivery (Development)
  • Delivers code based on specifications
  • Delivers configuration and integration changes to deploy applications
  • Delivers fixes and improvements to existing software products, maintains environments and versions
  • Participate in project or product meetings, walkthroughs and code reviews 2.
• Problem Solving & Analysis
  • Contributes towards the analysis and production of design documentation and technical specifications for development
  • Troubleshoots problems independently, using the information available, escalating through channels where necessary
  • Conduct system support and change management activities
  • Participate in conducting impact analysis to support proactive identification of actions to minimize production system interruptions 3.
• Quality Testing
  • Delivers clean and efficient code
  • Tests software products and fixes defects
  • Documents configuration and integration details 4.

  • Gains exposure to and learns new languages, frameworks and tools 5.

Qualifications

Education:

• University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

• JC.30000760 - Sr Engineer Software – 5-8 years
• Must have experience of installing at least one SAP HANA based landscape.
• Must have experience in performance optimization of SAP HANA databases
• Must possess certification of SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA
• Proven experience in installing, maintaining and administration of the following:
  • S/4HANA 2022
  • SAP Netweaver 7.4 / 7.5
  • RHEL Linux
  • Oracle 19c
  • SAP HANA Cockpit
  • SAP Data Services 4.3
  • SAP Solution Manager 7.2
  • SAP PI/PO
• Experience with SAP ChaRM is an asset
• Experience with SAP BTP and SAC administration is an asset
• Experience with SAP IAS/IPS is an asset

• Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong team building skills, with ability to build quick and effective work rapport with others
• Ability to participate with on-call Basis support

Ability to work off peak hours to support maintenance activities and project deadline
