Senior Manager Quality Engineering to lead our Automation quality engineering strategy across digital platforms that empower customers in financial and retirement planning. This role will lead, design and implement scalable automation frameworks, build a high-performing QA team, and ensure our systems meet the highest standards of accuracy, reliability, and compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement automation strategies, frameworks, and tools for enterprise applications.
- Lead the automation strategy and mentor a team of automation engineers.
- Oversee delivery and/or run initiatives, ensuring high-quality outcomes and alignment with organizational goals.
- Mentor and coach a team of automation engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Architect and maintain frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Integrate AI-driven solutions to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and defect detection.
- Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient, high-quality releases.
- Establish best practices for automation code, documentation, and version control.
- Define KPIs for automation effectiveness and quality metrics, reporting progress and ROI to leadership.
- Communicate test automation outcomes, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, measure, and improve testing processes, safeguard data integrity and financial accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote shift-left testing across development teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, reporting on progress, risks, and achievements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and assess automation tools, technologies and leverage AI for automation
- Support automation efforts across enterprise and measure progress.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 6-8+ years in software testing, including 3+ years in automation leadership.
- 5-6 years in a leadership role/ managing associates
- Expertise in tools such as Selenium, Karate, Appium
- Strong coding skills in Java
- Experience with feature files ( Gherkin)
- Background in performance testing.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Proven track record in designing robust frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing.
- Very good communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities.
- Experience managing delivery/run initiatives.
- Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
