About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with deep experience in the Retirement / Financial domain to lead the modernization of legacy applications. The ideal candidate is an expert in Java (preferably Java 18 - 21) and React, with a proven track record in legacy system migration, cloud integration, and CI/CD automation. You will play a key role in re-architecting mission-critical systems to modern standards using AWS and industry-best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java 21, React, and JavaScript.
- Modernize legacy systems and migrate them to updated frameworks and architectures.
- Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions within the Retirement/Benefits domain.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage deployments on AWS.
- Utilize GitHub Copilot to enhance development productivity and maintain code quality.
- Perform code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Analyze and optimize application performance and scalability.
- Maintain and query relational databases, primarily Oracle DB.
- Track and manage project work using JIRA and follow Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Java (including Java 21) and React.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Proven experience in legacy system modernization, including code refactoring, re-platforming, and technology stack upgrades.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DB & Postgres DB, including performance tuning and complex SQL queries.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, and source control using GitHub.
- Cloud experience, preferably AWS, with knowledge of services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
