Responsibilities

• Write code and tests, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and analyze bottlenecks.
• Design robust APIs to support mobile and desktop clients.
• Manage and optimize scalable distributed systems in the cloud.
• Optimize web applications for performance and scalability.
• Develop automated tests to ensure business needs are met and allow for regression testing.

Required skills and qualifications:

• 2 - 4 years of strong back-end engineering experience in Java.
• Proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems.
• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, REST API, Jenkins.
• In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git.
• Understanding building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.,
• Exposure towards: Oracle PL /SQL, JIRA, Swagger Hub.
• Experience with core AWS web-enabling technologies.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Legacy Technologies like Pro*C, Oracle Forms.
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns.
• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries.
• Know-how of Java concurrency patterns.
• Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming Patterns and Concepts.
• Growth mindset that challenges the status quo and focuses on outside-the-box ideas and solutions.
• Good Understanding of MVC Pattern, JDBC and RESTful web services.
• Ability to write clean, readable Java code.
• Experience in handling external and embedded databases.
• Basic knowledge of JVM (Java Virtual Machine).
• Expertise in continuous integration.
