Service Installation and Maintenance Specialists serve as an operational contact representing Empower and are expected to coordinate and oversee the setup of complex system changes related to plan design and features submitted by Plan Sponsors, Advisors, Third Party Administrators or other Client Services associates.Responsible for analyzing requests for completeness and to ensure features are set up properly within the record-keeping system.Team members review work items and work in conjunction with other operational teams to facilitate requests accurately. Manages daily communications with internal and external parties to maintain or improve quality of the processed requests.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collects or receives work as assigned from Plan Sponsors, Third Party Administrators, other intermediaries or other associates within Client Services.
- Assigns work to other operational departments for completion.
- Coordinates the sets-up or removal of products or features for retirement plans on the EASY recordkeeping system.
- Reviews work returned from other departments to ensure proper quality standards have been achieved.
- Completes processing steps as documented within standard operating procedures.
- Follows-up on outstanding issues with internal functional areas.
- Provide status of in-progress set-ups, providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Assist client-facing teams with plan questions or issues by joining calls or meetings with clients and/or internal departments.
- Completes internal record-keeping system changes and performs maintenance as necessary.
- Assists with research and long-term projects.
- Demonstrates overall proficiency, self-reliance and resourcefulness.
- Complies with client and/or enterprise service levels.
- Services all segments of the Client Services organization.
- Other as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor Degree required
OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of experience in the financial services industry Knowledge of ERISA, DOL and applicable IRS regulations related to retirement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team and individually
- Strong attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as but not limited to; computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to concentrate, talk and hear. This role is regularly required to type, reach with hands and arms, sit for long periods of time, read, write, listen, verbally communicate, present information, respond to questions, problem solve, concentrate and tolerated stress. Many duties will be done while sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
