As a member of the Global Canadian Technology Team and as a lead technology specialist, you will be responsible for working with project and support team members to evaluate solutions, provide advice on technologies, utilize problem solving skills to solve issues and share knowledge of a broad range of technical topics with other team members.

Ways you contribute:
•    Work alongside Project Managers, Architects, System Analysts, and Developers to create and execute project plans.
•    Lead, coordinate, and support the infrastructure builds as necessary in Windows environments hosted internally and in the cloud.
•    Produce key deliverables:
o    Detailed technical design documents.
o    Build and configuration documentation.
o    Non-functional requirements specifications
o    Non-functional test plan/strategies
o    Tuning and refinement of the solution based on results and stakeholder feedback.
o    Transition to operations documentation
o    Process and performance monitoring operations documentation
o    Other technical documentation as required.
•    Demonstrates a very good understanding of the risks and impact on business practices of introducing new, changing existing, or integrating systems and applies them during system analysis, design, and problem-solving.  
•    Work on production issue and manage incidents accordingly
•    Enable effective monitoring and automation to manage production environments effectively
•    Communication
o    Communicates in a persuasive and eloquent manner.
o    Effectively facilitates sessions.
•    Is fully capable in using industry standard productivity tools in the achievement of the normal activities of his or her role. Such tools including documentation tools, engineering tools, modeling tools, prototyping tools.

•    Leadership 
o    Oversees and mentors more junior resources on the team.

Skills considered an asset:

•    Technical knowledge of servers, workstations, databases, networks (cloud and on premise), security.
•    Knowledge of Scripting including java and vb scripts.
•    Basic understanding of SDLC cycle 
•    Good understanding of ITSM process including Incident, Change and problem management.
•    Knowledge of Automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform
•    Knowledge of Monitoring and Security tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, appDynamics
•    File Based Integration
o    MOVEit Transfer / MOVEit Automation, VSHell, Support Windows/Mainframe SFTP/FTPS Clients
•    Microsoft Windows
o    Active Directory, Users/Groups/Permissions, SMB/CIFS Network File Shares, File Security, Process Management, Process and Performance Monitoring
•    ServiceNow, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, Turbonomics and AZURE
