The Retirement Consultant delivers personalized consultations detailing solutions best suited to the retirement planning needs of Empower customers. The Consultant utilizes detailed information on IRA and investment products and has a solid understanding of the qualified plan environment. The successful Consultant enjoys assisting customers achieve their retirement goals, is a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and has a competitive personality. Must be upbeat, ambitious, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include both inbound and outbound calls and require outstanding follow-through with those they are assisting. What You Will Do

  • Consult with active and terminated participants in employer-sponsored retirement plans to assess retirement planning needs and provide personalized service and support.

  • Provide recommendations across distribution and rollover options, retirement account consolidation, investments, savings, and contribution strategies.

  • Build customer relationships through personalized service while responding to plan- and policy-related questions with active listening, empathy, professionalism, and proactive follow-through.

  • Communicate retirement plan policies, procedures, products, and options accurately, clearly, and concisely.

  • Manage inbound customer conversations and outbound calls; handle service requests, research and resolve issues, and develop strategies that support customers in achieving their retirement goals.

  • Deliver appropriate retirement solutions based on customer needs during each interaction.

  • Identify and facilitate referral opportunities to partners who provide specialized solutions, including financial wellness, taxable investment strategies, and financial planning.

  • Meet established monthly and annual asset growth, retention, and service goals.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.

  • Demonstrated success in performance- or goal-oriented roles, preferably involving asset growth and customer retention.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with proficiency in PC-based file management.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively navigate high-volume or challenging customer interactions.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Ability to work overnight hours.

  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations, or Series 7 with Series 63 and Series 65 registrations, required within established timelines.

  • FINRA Fingerprinting required.

  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to learn new information quickly and independently.

  • Knowledge of IRAs, retirement investment products and services, and the qualified retirement plan environment.
