The Partner Referral Specialist is responsible for contacting plan participants via outbound calling campaigns to educate participants on the distribution services available from the plan's third-party Premier Partner Advisors ("Premier Partners"). The supported Premier Partners represent the top one percent of all plan advisors for Empower. This position will generate referrals to the plan's Premier Partner Advisors through calling terminated plan participants. This role will be held accountable for meeting monthly and annual referral goals.

What you will do

  • Make a high volume of outbound calls to terminated participants within the participating book of business, including initial outreach as well as follow-up calls and appointment setting where applicable.
  • Generate interest by scheduling qualified appointments and/or making referrals, including leveraging Empower’s conversation model to reintroduce unsuccessful participant referrals to Empower and help navigate them to appropriate next steps and departments.
  • Provide specialized and customized support for specific plans based on plan sponsor Premier Partner-collaborated messaging.
  • Answer and respond appropriately to operational and procedural inquiries from current retirement plan participants via inbound/outbound calls to identify a referral opportunity.
  • Develop, maintain, and foster positive/enhanced working relationships with participants, while retaining assets through education of available plan specific and/or Empower service options.

What you will bring

  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to learn new information quickly and independently
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and ability to handle stressful situations and people on a daily basis
  • Good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and various file manipulation skills on a PC
  • Associate degree is preferred, but not required.

  • Previous financial experience and/or investment product service or sales knowledge preferred.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to interpret customer needs and identify possible solutions and referral opportunities
  • Strong consulting skills
  • Good understanding of retirement investment products/services and the qualified retirement plan environment, especially plan advisors

Base Salary Range

$44,000.00 - $56,000.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
