The Retirement Consultant – Roll In (Consultant) will drive consolidation of assets into proprietary employer sponsored retirement plans by acting as a single point of contact, educator, and consultant for individual customers throughout the entirety of the process. Consultants must maintain and manage their book of business ranging from 150 – 350 customers. Consultants will work autonomously to maintain their book of business and provide positive outcomes and experiences for customers.

What you will do

  • Place outbound calls and handle inbound calls from our participant base, with the objective of consolidating their retirement savings into their employer-sponsored plan with Empower. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling meetings with individual customers, holding conference calls with contra firms & customers, providing education and support throughout the consolidation process.
  • Independently and effectively manage a high volume of scheduled meetings, inbound calls, outbound calls, and emails correspondence with customers while making themselves available to receive real-time warm handoffs of newly generated leads from call centers.
  • Demonstrate expertise in retirement investment vehicles, especially 401(k), 403(b), 457b, 401(a), and IRA.
  • Service rollover relationship from opportunity handoff through close, increasing participant touch, satisfaction, and loyalty
  • Answer customer questions and concerns about retirement planning as necessary.

What you will bring

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience.
  • FINRA 6 & 63 registrations required within corporate-established timelines.
  • FINRA Fingerprinting.
  • Ability to work within a flexible call center schedule and environment.
  • For this position, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

  • Retirement Consultant - Roll Ins are required to exercise discretion and independent judgement when assisting customers with any Rollover, Exchange, or Transfer to ensure the process is completed properly by both the contra firm and Empower.

Base Salary Range

$52,000.00 - $64,000.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
