As a Travel Specialist, reporting to the Manager Travel, you will work closely with other members of our travel team to ensure that all travel requests are carried out efficiently and within established policies and guidelines. In our fast-paced team environment, the successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized and take pride in delivering a good level of service with attention to detail. A solid understanding of the travel industry is required. Your ability to identify and provide input/recommend improvements that can improve results for the team is part of the role.
What you will do:
- Arrange business travel for Empower managers and associates
- Resolve clients’ needs and preferences, such as schedules and costs, or seek assistance from more senior team members as needed
- Find fare and schedule information
- Calculate total travel costs
- Update and maintain itineraries for group travel
- Listen and be a trusted advisor by offering informed and insightful recommendations which provide the very best traveler experience in each situation, seeking input from senior team members or management as needed
- Share experience and standard processes with travel team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of customer support
- Analyze situation when problems arise to gain an understanding of necessary action needed and seek assistance as needed
- Enhance and maintain post travel cost summaries
- Collaborate and assist with general projects requested by senior management
What you will bring:
- 4+ years of corporate travel experience required with domestic and international reservations. 6+ years experience preferred.
- College degree in travel management preferred
- Possess a general level of confidence and technical skills
- Experience with the SABRE travel system required
- Experience working with online booking tools, including CVENT, Concur and TMC reporting packages
- General proficiency in MS Office applications with a preferred emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of ticketing rules and regulations, moderate to complex domestic fares, as well as general regional travel trends

Base Salary Range
$61,400.00 - $86,750.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
