As the Lead Business Analyst for finance and accounting, you will serve as the critical liaison between the technology teams and the end business users including senior leaders. You’ll be part of a high-performing team with former Big 4 accountants, SAP experts, technologists, and industry veterans working on short and long-term project.
Project topics will consist of finance and accounting optimization efforts designed to reduce costs, save time, improve quality and/or improve customer service throughout the organization. This role entails diverse responsibilities to include, but not limited to: end to end process design across multiple technologies; data mapping across SAP modules including FI/CO, BPC, Ariba and others; testing; documentation; end user communication and training; ensuring risks and key business issues are identified, accounted for and resolved. The chosen candidate will collaborate with users to determine functional and/or technical requirements and ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
What you will do:
- Work with all finance areas to understand key processes and then identify, recommend, and implement process and/or technology improvements
- Support projects from the original concept through final implementation. Interface with all areas affected by the project including business leaders within the functional departments, end-users, and customer/client services. Ensure factual, timely and quality project tracking, analysis and reporting
- Engage in diverse assignments dependent on the technology and stage of the project lifecycle to include project management, process analysis, performing development, testing, documentation and training
- Assist with writing and maintaining business requirements specifications that are clear, complete and executable. Assist with ensuring that requirements are understood by the technology development teams. Verify technical design specifications meet user requirements
- Identifies additional systems and tools that will support finance and accounting teams
- Develops reporting to meet business needs
- Assists in documenting, developing, and implementing improvements to financial processes and governance procedures supporting the company needs
- Develops deep domain knowledge on key applications including SAP and its associated modules
- Provides support in the prioritization and ongoing management of the SAP Value Stream roadmap including ownership of the “what” and the “why” for the prioritized value stream features
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Process Transformation, or a related field is preferred
- 3-5 years prior project management experience, utilizing business analysis skills on technical projects and/or systems reporting required including documenting requirement for business solutions
- 3-5 years relevant SAP experience
- 3+ years of experience in Business Process Re-engineering, Standardization and Continuous Improvement is preferred (i.e. Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma); project management skills are a plus
- Power User of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Visio) required
- Ability to prioritize resources and tasks in a fast-paced changing environment required
What will set you apart: Strong consultative interpersonal and communications skills (listening, written, verbal, presentation, etc.)
- Financial Accounting expertise in configuring General Ledger Accounting (FI-G/L), New G/L, Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Fixed Asset accounting (FI-FA), Material Management (MM), SAP/Ariba. This includes special ledger reporting and master data management such as Company Codes, Chart of Accounts, Cost and Profit Centers
- Experience using Agile as method of delivering new Software Development
- Strong written, listening and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical project team members
- Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen; experience implementing financial processes and systems
- Ability to define problems, assemble and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make recommendation

Base Salary Range
$85,600.00 - $120,925.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
