The Business Intelligence Application Administrator manages Empower's AWS-hosted Business Intelligence application servers SAP Business Object Reporting, SAP Data Services, Quick sight ,Tableau, diagnosing issues, and providing project plans. Responsibilities include installing, supporting, and automating applications, maintaining best practices, and delivering customer service. Requires experience with complex infrastructures, tools like Jira, Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
We are looking for a Business IntelligenceApplication Administrator who can manage and support key Business Intelligence tools hosted on AWS. The ideal candidate will administer SAP Business Objects, SAP Data Services and must have experience with BI Tools like Tableau, Quick Sight, Qlik, or SAS, along with a good understanding of cloud-hosted environments. This is not a pure infrastructure role – we’re looking for someone focused on application-level support, and application hosted infrastructure ownership, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and end-user issue resolution.
What you will do:
- Administer and support BI applications: SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Data Services Tableau, QuickSight, Qlik hosted in cloud platforms( AWS).
- Troubleshoot application-related issues and coordinate with end users and technical teams.
- Experience configuration, patching, upgrades, and basic integration for supported applications and migration projects,
- Monitor application performance and manage logs using native tools or services like CloudWatch.
- Ensure compliance with application-level security policies and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with platform and cloud teams for hosting, deployment, and access management tasks.
What you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience supporting Business Intelligence applications (SAP BO, Data Services, Tableau, QuickSight, Qlik).
- Strong skills in diagnosing and resolving application issues which are hosted in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Working knowledge of AWS services relevant to application hosting (EC2, EKS, CloudWatch).
- Familiarity with basic networking, DNS, and application/user security settings impacting applications.
- Comfortable working in Windows/Linux environments and navigating logs and services.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Support the following technologies:
- SAP Business Objects Reporting & Data Services
- Tableau, AWS QuickSight, Qlik
- Alteryx, Collibra ,SAS Viya (optional, nice to have)
- DevOps tools (Jira, Kanban, CICD)

- Application-level certifications (SAP, Tableau, QuickSight, AWS etc.).
- Prior experience working in enterprise environments with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).

Base Salary Range
$94,200.00 - $133,050.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
