The Senior Trading Operations Specialist processes mutual fund trades, reconciles and resolves mutual fund trading issues, performs daily plan-level stock trade processing, monitors and/or resolves issues with trade activity, acts as a liaison between internal departments and external broker dealers, and researches and responds to escalated processing issues.
What you will do
Initiate and monitor the mutual fund trading processes and ensure that all scheduled trades have executed successfully.
Research unresolved/rejected or problem mutual fund trades and ensure error trades are properly addressed and corrected.
Contact fund houses and/or internal sources to find cause and resolution to issues, as well as to coordinate large redemptions, market value adjustments, and other unique circumstances surrounding large liquidations and purchases.
Coordinate between numerous departments to verify corrections are completed properly and adjustments are made to ensure the underlying issues have been corrected.
Prepare daily reports and reconcile fund eliminations, plan terminations, and plan de-conversions after trades have been completed.
Review and complete reconciliation write up requests, including calculation and entry of true up trades, position adjustments and preparation of share transfer letters.
Validate all plan-level employer stock trades have completed correctly in the Empower Administrative System (EASY).
Communicate with external brokers to facilitate trade executions in a timely and accurate manner.
Verify trade proceeds, commissions and fees, and communicate trade settlement instructions to brokers and other internal departments.
Evaluate new plan-level employer stock offerings and provide recommendations on whether stock can be added to the platform.
Perform set-up of new stock and brokerage accounts on various systems and act as a liaison between internal departments and external broker dealers.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, related field, or equivalent experience.
FINRA Series 6 required within established guidelines.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
Detail-oriented and able to work within prescribed deadlines.
Possess strong analytical/problem-solving, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
FINRA fingerprinting upon hire.
What will set you apart
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in mutual fund operations preferred.

Base Salary Range
$54,200.00 - $74,600.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
