Responsible for start of day fund accounting daily tasks.
Responsibilities will be varied but will include analysis of beginning cash balances, reconciliation of cash including matching of cash receipts/disbursements to receivables and payables within the Investment Accounting System, reconciliation of shareholder balances between transfer agent and accounting system records, reconciliation of asset positions between the custodian and applicable investment manager records.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Load automated cash custodial feed into Investment Accounting reconciliation system, run appropriate reconciliation processes and research exceptions.
2. Load automated shareholder activity from the transfer agent into reconciliation system, post accounting system journals and reconcile ending positions to transfer agent records. Research exceptions.
3. Load asset position files from custodian, investment accounting system and investment managers into reconciliation system and complete reconciliation.  Research exceptions.
4. Calculation of available investable cash for money market traders through reference to numerous data sources.
5. Reconcile futures activity, cash movements and gain/loss records from broker statements to fund records.
6. Various miscellaneous tasks including preparation of litigation claim filings, securities lending compliance reviews, and other tasks to streamline investment operations functions.

Minimum Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in the investment administration area of a financial industry firm. 
• Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills
• Detail oriented / self starter
• Analytic skills
