JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Platform QA Engineer ensures the reliability, performance, and security of the Gen AI platform through comprehensive testing and validation. The role involves creating and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. This engineer focuses on functional, integration, and performance testing to deliver a robust and user-friendly platform.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Test Strategy & Planning

• Develop and maintain QA strategies for platform components, including back-end services, APIs, and UIs.

• Collaborate with product managers and developers to define acceptance criteria.

Test Execution & Automation

• Build and maintain automated test scripts to improve coverage and reduce manual effort.

• Perform manual testing where necessary, ensuring all defects are accurately documented.

Quality Assurance & Reporting

• Track, analyze, and report on software quality metrics.

• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of bugs and regressions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 3+ years of QA or software testing experience, including test automation and CI/CD integration.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

Registrations/Licenses/Certifications

• ISTQB or other QA-related certifications are a plus.

SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS:

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal Office Working Conditions: India-based office setting, possibly remote or hybrid as needed.            

• May require collaboration with global teams across different time zones.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITY:

• Responsible for triaging defects, prioritizing test efforts, and ensuring high-quality releases.

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

• Regular interaction with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers.

• External vendors may be involved if third-party testing tools are used.
