As aLeadFull Stack Engineer, you willlead the development of complex features andbe involved in all stages of the project lifecycle from requirements to implementation. This position requires the ability to adapt to challenging problems and a desire to work asanessentialpart of ahigh performingteam. All team members are expected to keep abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and frameworks and to display industry competitive skills and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, andmaintainscalable full-stack applications using Java 21, React, and JavaScript.

  • Modernize legacy systems,frameworksandarchitectures.

  • Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions within theRetirement/Financial Servicesdomain.

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage deployments on AWS.

  • Utilize GitHub Copilot to enhancedevelopmentproductivity andmaintaincode quality.

  • Analyze andoptimizeapplications forperformance and scalability.

  • Write optimized queries againstrelational databases, primarily Oracle DB.

  • Mentor junior engineers and help them grow technically and professionally.

  • Make and document key technical decisions.Identifytechnical risks and propose alternate solutions.

  • Break down large pieces of work intosmaller, achievabletasks.Identifyanddocumenttechnicaluserstoriesforimplementation by other team members.

  • Track and manage project work using JIRA and follow Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Remove impedimentsfor the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of software development experience with strongproficiencyin Java (including Java 21) and react.

  • Cloud experience, preferably AWS, with knowledge of services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.

  • Solid understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).

  • Experience inmodernizinglegacy systemsthroughtechnology stack upgrades,coderefactoringand optimization.

  • Good understanding ofmicroservicesarchitecture and RESTful APIs.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DB & Postgres DB, including performance tuning and complex SQL queries.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, and source control using GitHub.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skillsincludeactive listening,presentingand team building.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong senseof self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail.

  • An intellectual curiosity to understandhow,andwhy,systems function in their current state.

  • Enthusiasticabout learning andacquiringnew skills.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the RetirementorFinancial Services domain.

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’sdegree in computer science, Information Technology, ora relatedfield.
