Position Highlights:

US Retirement Plan (401k) Recordkeeping.  We support clients in transaction processing and other back-end operations of retirement plans.  Great West is a part of Great-West Financial Job requisite will include and not restricted being.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Asst Manager is to be hands on the process and run the process efficiently. Make strong connect with the partners. He/she should be strong at Situational leadership. As part of the daily BAU, Asst Manager for Monetary control team should be aware of reconciliation process.

Background and Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge on Reconciliation
  • Develop process improvements for increased efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Ensuring all the reconciliation is worked on by the team and keep the aged items below the SLA threshold
  • Responsible for seamless execution of all the levels of Controls implemented
  • Ensuring daily parameters and internal benchmark parameters are met
  • Development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and other documentation to ensure smooth flow of work
  • Procedure review to verify if the existing procedures are up to date for the current requirement
  • Identifying knowledge gap within the team and execution of refresher training
  • Research and clear various system reports based on departmental procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Research issues identified using the EASY system, working with case managers, relationship managers and others as needed.  This includes making recommendations for corrective actions to resolve issues identified.
  • Flexible to shift gears and start working on projects and develop efficiency within the teams
  • Strong partner, Ability to resolve conflicts and stake holder management
  • Effective people and process management

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting is a must

OTHER PREFERREND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8+ years of experience in mutual fund operations preferred
  • Intermediate MS Office Excel and Basic to intermediate Access skills
  • Detail oriented and able to work within prescribed deadlines
  • Basic understanding of 401K will be added advantage.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Flexible to work in shifts
