Sr Business Analyst (Salesforce)– Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Works on highly complex systems applications and prepares detailed specifications from which system applications will be developed and maintained within the development lifecycle.

  • Review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.

  • Through research and fact-finding develops or modifieshighly complex systems applications while working with development, engineering teams and business units.

  • Prepares detailed specifications from which system applications will be developed and maintained. Leads projects of varying scope and performs highly complex system/application analysis to ensure delivery meets business, budgetary, and end-user expectations.

  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats, construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications

  • Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications, recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures

  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making

  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement

  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

  • Work within Agile team structure to decompose and determine final "development ready" business, technical, and design requirements. Day-to-day support

  • Position will have regular interaction with business leaders. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. Reviews progress with management.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5+ years working as a Business Systems Analyst, experience with financial systems, statements area preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience with Customer Relationship Management software and related integrations highly preferred.

  • Superb communication skills with experience in gathering complex requirements from non-technical business users.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiar with Agile development methodology.

  • Preferred experience using JIRA in Agile and/or iterative development methodologies.

  • Experience working with relational databases.
