JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Analyst Digital Accelerator is responsible for building and enhancing reporting and data solutions for the Global Investments Reporting and Compliance department and across the investment administration functions front office portfolio management team and across the investment administration functions. Digital Accelerators need the technical know-how to code and build the queries, automation processes, and reports themselves, as well as drive strategic initiatives and best practices across the department. Digital Accelerators must possess technical expertise to code, build queries, automate processes, and generate reports independently, while also driving strategic initiatives and best practices across the department
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for project work related to automation opportunities and internal process modernization, with an emphasis on technical process enhancements. This includes developing processes using Alteryx, PowerBI, R, Python, SQL and other available tools/technologies.y available.
Support the processes on the timely delivery of complete and accurate investment data to stakeholders to enable critical investment analysis capabilities
Work with Investment and Information Services teams to update and continuously improve the Company’s global investment data and related reporting systems, and perform user acceptance tests where needed Collaborate with Investment and Information Services teams to update and continuously improve the company’s global investment data and reporting systems, and perform user acceptance tests as needed.
Develop new reporting tools for areas such as portfolio reporting and analysis, market surveillance, and investment policy compliance.

Work as needed with internal IT and systems development resources to research process flow issues in Investment Reporting and make recommendations for system enhancements.
Mentor team members to build on their experience and efficiency.
Establish and maintain procedures and best practices for the organization, including reviewing, recommending, and implementing changes to improve processes and workflow.
Align work hours with Canada and US time zones as needed to ensure smooth communication and collaboration with stakeholders
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
5-10 years working at a financial firm, ideally in a technical/reporting or investment analysis capacity.
Familiarity with many different types of financial instruments, especially US fixed income.
General familiarity and understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements and investment mandates.
Knowledge and experience working with investment data and investment attributes.
Experience and proficiency working with different financial database technologies for analytical and reporting needs.
Experience working with and understanding the needs of stakeholders from different areas of the firm (portfolio management, investment administration, compliance, etc.).
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
Experience using additional software such as Bloomberg, PAM, PLM, Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI, Oracle. Ability and capacity to transition and learn others as needed.
Coding abilities using SQL, R, Python, VBA, Power Query, DAX.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to elicit and understand business requirements, explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and train investment reporting analysts
Effective day-to-day coordination and collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Ability and capacity to transition and learn others as needed.
