Job Description

The Sr. Lean Process Analyst will be responsible for driving successful implementation of improvement projects across the enterprise enabling Empower to continue rapid growth and drive profitability. The position will help oversee the implementation of sustainable process improvements and will be responsible for measuring and reporting results to ensure change initiatives deliver expected business results.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The position will focus on growth and transactional process improvement projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Drives targeted, measurable, and sustainable improvement by leveraging skills and change management processes utilizing Six Sigma concepts

  • Works closely with leadership to define and implement continuous improvement in targeted areas

  • Assists in the development of improvement roadmaps (i.e., how to use tools and processes to drive sustainable improvement results)

  • Supports focused deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, or other quality and process improvement tools, where applicable, across the organization to assure excellence and operational excellence

  • Responsible for team and cross-functional communications (written and oral) education/mentoring, and influencing organizational culture to be more Lean/ Process Improvement oriented

  • Elevates critical business decisions to the appropriate management teams and/or functional managers

  • Promotes and facilitates diagnosis of workflow impediments throughout the business and provides expert counsel on appropriate tools to improve overall efficiency and reduce variances and/or defects in the process.

  • Collaborates with internal and external business partners for benchmarking performance and knowledge building of industry best practices to guide decisions for implementation of projects

  • Define requirement metrics to measure baseline and improved process improvements, and facilitate implementation of data collection tools where necessary.

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with functional leaders to drive success of projects and teams

  • Influences cross-functional collaboration & effectiveness

  • Lead and motivate a culture of lean thinkers

  • Process Improvement knowledge through delivery of high quality and high impact deliverables

  • Actively reviews policy and practice improvements to drive performance excellence

  • Continuous improvement of the product development process to optimize time to market

  • Provide leadership through influence in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

EDUCATION:

  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA) is desirable.

REGISTRATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSING REQUIRED:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of lean, six sigma, continuous improvement experience; daily management, strategy deployment, change management, and problem solving

  • Proficiency applying Lean principles in a variety of situations

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in leading process improvement projects

  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable in front of all levels of the organization, as well as external customers.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation and conflict management skills.

  • Experience using process improvement tools.

  • Capable of working independently under ambiguous and/or changing conditions.

  • Demonstrated ability to function independently in a high-impact position, with deadline and resource constraints.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across disciplines and integrate all aspects of business as they impact development projects, including negotiation of scope, roles and responsibilities, specifications, timelines, and resources up, across, and down in the organization.
