JOB SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, ensures the timely reconciliation of Mutual Fund share positions including dividends.  Documents discrepancies, research and forwards to the appropriate entity/area for resolution within contractual and departmental requirements.  Completes daily reconciliation of share variances for assigned Groups, detailing outstanding reconciling items. Take regular follow up with internal partner for variance resolution.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Reconcile different sets of records and other independent reports, including detailed reconciliations for shares, shareholder activity and dividends daily.

• Monitor the recon and the research, including corrections, clearing, and reconciliation.

• Comfortability working both independently and as part of a team

• Research share discrepancies, work with internal partners for solution of variance.

• Discrepancies will be discovered through reconciliations of system balances to information received from the fund houses or on the recordkeeping system.

• Research and processes dividends. Discrepancies over a set threshold between the dividends paid at the fund house and dividends paid on the recordkeeping system are researched and resolved. 

• Completes periodic reports documenting variance root cause and resolution.

• Verifies problem resolution is timely and accurate. Follows up with appropriate areas regarding unresolved issues.

• Reconcile steps as documented within standard operating procedures

• Complete all daily, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks and report accurately

• Escalate all issues promptly and effectively to SME/ Lead/ Supervisor

• Shift Timing: 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM IST – Monday to Friday

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting is a must

• 1 to 3 years of experience in mutual fund/Trade operations preferred

• Intermediate MS Office Excel and Basic to intermediate Access skills

• Detail oriented and able to work within prescribed deadlines

• Basic understanding of 401K and Trade life cycle will be added advantage.

• Strong analytical/problem solving, written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent time management

• Flexible in shifts.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as but not limited to; computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to concentrate, talk and hear. This role is regularly required to type, reach with hands and arms, sit for long periods of time, read, write, listen, verbally communicate, present information, respond to questions, resolve, concentrate and tolerate stress. Many duties will be done while sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
