JOB SUMMARY:
The primary role of a Specialist in Investment Setup team at Empower is to ensure and maintain a meticulous platform for the clients through which they can transact (Invest in and withdraw out of funds). The team also formats and supply trade related data of funds to Internal Teams and External Clients when requested by them for specific purposes. Provide quality control standards on the new fund set-ups on Empower system.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide accurate reporting on a periodic basis as required by the various financial institutions.
- Setup Mutual Funds in the Empower Platform and Fund Reporting requests such as excessive trading, distribution rules, investment funds, and other processes from requests submitted by various internal and external sources.
- Provide quality control standards on the new fund set-ups on Empower system.
- Responsible for daily check on the requests queue and prioritize based on TAT and SLA.
- Review of plan and fund from Fund Houses and within the department.
- Provide subject matter expertise support to the internal team, onshore and downstream teams.
- Liaise with the Fund Houses and upstream/requestor to resolve issues and minimize risk.
- Complete all daily, monthly, and ad-hoc tasks and reporting as required accurately and to deadline.
- Escalate all issues promptly and effectively to supervisor.
- Generate new Ideas and process improvements for the betterment of the process.
- Ad-hoc project work as directed.
- Shift Timing: 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM IST. Should be flexible to work in rotational shift.
OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in a Financial Services related field.
- Knowledge of Capital Market & Investment Banking Industry, particularly asset classes like Equities and Mutual Funds, corporate actions, and stock markets.
- Understand the effect that changes in Funds and other data elements have on the market value of an account and be sensitive to these changes.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the proven ability to work independently, accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Capacity to work cross-functionally to create efficiencies and develop solutions to business problems
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office - MS outlook, MS Access, Excel skills, including pivot tables, v-look ups, and formulas.
- Should possess Good Eye for Detail – Getting it Right first Time, Every time.
- Must possess strong analytical/problem solving, organizational, written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree with preference in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to quickly learn a variety of unfamiliar subjects.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as but not limited to; computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to concentrate, talk, and hear. This role is regularly required to type, reach with hands and arms, sit for long periods of time, read, write, listen, verbally communicate, present information, respond to questions, problem solve, concentrate, and tolerated stress. Many duties will be done while sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
