Role Summary:

Empower India Business Intelligence and Reporting Analytics team is looking for a technically strong Senior Analyst to support enterprise reporting, marketing analytics, and business intelligence initiatives. The role requires expertise in SQL, SAS, data warehousing concepts, dashboarding, and data transformation practices across multiple layers of the analytics ecosystem. You will be working alongside other talented people who address complex business challenges every day which has tangible impacts to the organization’s success and our mission. The ideal candidate for this role should have strong problem-solving capabilities, an understanding of data lineage and semantic layer creation, and the ability to convert complex business requirements into scalable reporting and visualization solutions. The individual will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making through automated reporting, insightful dashboards, and optimized data solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting and analytics solutions using SQL, SAS, Tableau, QuickSight, and related BI technologies.
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and validation across multiple layers of the data ecosystem, including source systems, staging, curated datasets, and semantic/reporting layers.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of data lineage, upstream/downstream dependencies, and business data flows to support accurate reporting and impact analysis.
  • Work with structured and semi-structured datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable business insights.
  • Create intuitive dashboards and visual storytelling solutions that enable business stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Support semantic layer development and metadata standardization to improve reporting consistency and self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Apply data warehousing best practices including data modeling fundamentals, performance optimization, reusable logic creation, and reporting scalability.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business problems into analytical solutions.
  • Drive automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve reporting turnaround time and operational efficiency.
  • Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and root cause analysis to ensure reporting accuracy and reliability.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis, campaign performance reporting, audience analysis, and enterprise dashboard initiatives.
  • Contribute to process documentation, reporting standards, and knowledge-sharing across the team.

Preferred Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data science, or related roles.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting and operational reporting functions.
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams in data-driven environments is preferred.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related quantitative disciplines
  • Post-graduate degree in Business Management, Statistics, Economics, Technology, Finance, Mathematics, or related fields is a plus

Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in SQL, SAS, and Python
  • Preferred BI tools: Tableau and Amazon QuickSight
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, data transformation frameworks, semantic layer creation, data lineage and dependency analysis, relational and dimensional data models, and reporting optimization best practices
  • Exposure to cloud and analytics ecosystems such as AWS-based reporting environments is preferred
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets and enterprise reporting platforms
  • Understanding of dashboard performance tuning and visualization best practices

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical capability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate large volumes of data with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced understanding of relational and dimensional database concepts, and strong proficiency across BI platforms, reporting systems, and analytics toolsets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, delivering independently and collaboratively while applying sound judgment.
  • Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Experience handling structured and unstructured data from internal and third-party sources.
