Salesforce Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Salesforce Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance for the Salesforce platform, with expertise in both manual and automation testing. This role requires hands-on experience with automation testing tools like Java, Selenium, API testing experience (with Selenium), basic SQL/SOQL and proven experience working in Salesforce. The Salesforce Quality Engineer will ensure the delivery of high-quality Salesforce solutions by defining test strategies, automating processes, and collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders.

What you will do

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure Salesforce solutions meet business and technical requirements.
• Experience with data migration and integration testing
• Perform end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, system integration, and UAT testing.
• Perform testing on edge cases considering upstream and downstream data and automation.
• Experience in Selenium is required.
• Identify, track, and report bugs, and work closely with developers to resolve issues using systems like Jira.
• Ability to be involved in end-to-end processes including story grooming, development phase, deployment phase, and documentation of test results.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Expert level attention to detail to monitor and analyze test results, providing actionable feedback to the development team.
• Clear and concise communication to effectively work with developers, business analysts, and product owners to further understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Provide input on improving the overall quality assurance process and automation framework.
• Ability to take initiative to identify professional development opportunities by investing in the latest Salesforce platform updates, automation tools, and industry best practices to enhance testing capabilities.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Jenkins, or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Experience in integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, ensuring efficient and reliable deployments, is a plus.

What you will bring

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance with a focus on the Salesforce platform.  Proven Salesforce experience is critical to the success of this role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience in retirement / wealth management / financial service industry
• Solid knowledge of QA Automation, testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, including declarative features, Salesforce FLOW, Lightning Pages, and out of the box Salesforce functionality.
• Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Sound reasoning and critical thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent English

Preferred Additional Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge in Quality Engineering strategies throughout the Salesforce development lifecycle.
• Basic understanding of Apex, Lightning Web Components, and API testing tools.
• Salesforce Certified as a Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform App Builder is a plus.
• Experience in Jenkins, Selenium, Gherkin or a similar solution is a plus, indicating experience in performance and load testing.
• Experience with Financial Services Cloud is a plus.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Copado is a plus.
