The Retirement Consultant – Roll In (Consultant) will drive consolidation of assets into proprietary employer sponsored retirement plans by acting as a single point of contract, educator, and consultant for individual customers throughout the entirety of the process. Consultants must maintain and manage their book of business ranging from 150 – 350 customers. Consultants will work autonomously to maintain their book of business and provide positive outcomes and experiences for customers. This includes but is not limited to scheduling meetings with individual customers, holding conference calls with contra firms & customers, providing individualized education and support throughout the consolidation process. They must independently and effectively manage a high volume of scheduled meetings, inbound calls, outbound calls, and emails correspondence with customers while making themselves available to receive real-time warm handoffs of newly generated leads from call centers. Consultants will assist customers with any Rollover, Exchange, or Transfer to ensure the process is completed properly by both the contra firm and Empower. When challenges/hurdles arise within the process, they must develop solutions for unique problems/opportunities required to complete the transaction. All Consultants are required to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly asset targets and are tasked with consolidating approximately 1,550 accounts, or more, annually.
What you will do
- Place outbound calls to and handle inbound calls from our participant base, with the objective of consolidating their retirement savings into their employer sponsored plan with Empower.
- Demonstrate expertise in retirement investment vehicles, especially 401(k), 403(b), 457b, 401(a), and IRA.
- Provide exceptional service required for the administration of the rollover process, and develop solutions for unique problems/situations
- Service rollover relationship from opportunity handoff through close, increasing participant touch, satisfaction, and loyalty
- Answer customer questions and concerns about retirement planning as necessary
- Request educational and marketing material for participants as necessary
- Build team camaraderie and focus efforts toward a shared goal objective
- Thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented call center environment
What you will bring
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience
- FINRA 6 & 63 registrations required within corporate-established timelines
- FINRA Fingerprinting
- Ability to work within a flexible call center schedule and environment
- Prior telephone experience preferred
- Customer-focused, outward approach to delivery of retail asset gathering opportunities highly desired
- Strong desire to meet the needs of internal and external customers preferred
- Retirement Consultant - Roll Ins are required to exercise discretion and independent judgement when assisting customers with any Rollover, Exchange, or Transfer to ensure the process is completed properly by both the contra firm and Empower.
