As an Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for providing support to the product management and investment due diligence functions within Empower Investments. You’ll provide ongoing research and support for Empower Funds complex, Empower Trusts, and Institutional Separate Accounts which total more than $70bn of sub-advisory AUM. The role is responsible for creating regular management reporting including support for marketing collateral, competitive analyses, and investment recommendations.

What you will do:

• Create regular management reporting including weekly and monthly performance reports, competitive analyses, pitchbook updates, etc.
• Interview sub-advisors on an ongoing basis to better understand and document performance, process, investment personnel, etc.
• Assist in manager searches and ad-hoc investment analytics
• Prepare standard quarterly reporting for various Investment Advisor Committees and the Fund Company Board of Directors
• Work closely with marketing to create new and recurring content and update existing content supporting Empower Funds, Empower Trusts, and Institutional Separate Accounts
• Provide input and research for thought leadership pieces

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field required
• Series 6 and 63 registrations required within corporate-established timelines. FINRA fingerprinting required
• At least three years’ experience in a similar role
• Demonstrable expertise in investment themes and trends, economic analysis, and manager research principles
• Experience with industry-standard investment research tools including Morningstar or similar
• Strong executive presence and communication skills required

What will set you apart:

• CFA charter or progress toward CFA charter preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management and staff
• MS Excel experience required, and MS Access and SAP experience preferred
• Indirect responsibility for ensuring EI achieves annual scorecard targets
• Work well with internal and external teams
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Base Salary Range

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
