You’ll help position Empower as a leader in wealth management by shaping stories and product/service launches that resonate with consumers and participants by partnering across teams to achieve

  • Lead consumer insights efforts: Write strong research briefs and interpret findings with a deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform positioning, messaging, and campaign strategy.

  • Leverage AI tools and insights to optimize marketing content, customer targeting, and performance measurement.

  • Collaborate with PR, content, and brand teams to build “surround sound” GTM content — integrated storytelling across owned, earned, and paid channels, including educational materials, social, digital, and press opportunities.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Advisory, Product, Engineering, Performance Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution and a unified customer experience.

  • Work closely with client-facing teams (sales and advisors) to understand customer needs, tools, and conversion drivers, translating them into marketing communications that empower them to meet and exceed goals.
  • Manage creative agency relationships — from writing strategic briefs and defining business goals to ensuring timely, on-brand delivery of campaigns with our in-house agency.
  • Guide all marketing content through internal review and approval processes (product, legal, compliance) while maintaining regulatory integrity and brand consistency.
  • Exhibit a proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset that fosters strong team dynamics and effective cross-functional execution.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or relevant field required.
  • Master’s Degree in business or marketing

What you will bring:

  • 10+ years of B2C marketing experience, with a proven ability to design and execute integrated marketing strategies across digital, email, and in-product channels.
  • Demonstrated experience in consumer financial services (wealth management, investing, retirement) and understanding of related products and audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing best practices — including email, SMS, push notifications, and content personalization.
  • Skilled in consumer research (qualitative and quantitative) and translating insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application in marketing optimization, content generation, and performance analytics.
  • Experience managing creative and PR agencies, writing clear, insight-driven briefs, and ensuring brand-aligned execution.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect marketing initiatives to business strategy, analyze performance data, and communicate results to leadership.
  • Adept at collaborating with product managers, technologists, advisors, and sales teams to align messaging and product positioning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — with the ability to write, edit, and produce marketing materials that are both strategic and engaging.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly master new marketing and analytics tools.
  • Analytical and self-directed, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
