As a Billing and Terminations Specialist at Empower, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate, timely, and client-focused financial experiences. You will support all major functions within the Advisory Billing and Terminations Operations area, ensuring precise fee processing, high-quality record keeping, and smooth transitions for clients as they complete their management relationship with Empower Personal Strategy. Your work helps maintain Empower’s commitment to operational excellence and a seamless client experience.
The expected shift for this position is 8am - 5pm MST. Candidates outside of the Mountain Time Zone must be able to work within those hours.
What you will do
Assist with the daily processing of prorated Advisory Management fees for accounts closing prior to the normal monthly fee being charged, ensuring accurate fees are collected prior to accounts leaving Empower Personal Wealth with Client and Advisor communication regarding fees and/or Termination process through email
Ensure clients terminating Personal Strategy management are billed properly and process the transfer of their assets in a timely and precise manner by preparing client paperwork for Wire or ACH disbursements within strict daily deadlines
Ensure the timely and accurate accounting of all monthly Advisory Management fees collected
Prepare and process the monthly billing files as needed, validating all accounts are charged accurately and appropriately, and will verify all Advisory Management fee exceptions due to promotions/other circumstances
Serve as a point of contact for inquiries regarding Personal Strategy Terminations, resolving issues with accuracy and professionalism
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services operations or billing functions
Moderate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Salesforce
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, time-sensitive requests, and daily deadlines with accuracy
Ability to exercise sound judgement

Base Salary Range
$54,200.00 - $74,600.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
