The Business Systems Analyst, SAP BDC / Datasphere Consultant will evaluate business processes, data needs, and enterprise reporting requirements while collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear system specifications and analytics solutions. This role will support SAP data and analytics platforms, including SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud, with a focus on developing enterprise reporting, dashboards, data models, and analytics capabilities that support business decision-making.
This role will facilitate communication between business users, IT teams, engineers, quality assurance, and data stakeholders to ensure technology solutions align with organizational goals. The Business Systems Analyst may also support testing, training, implementation, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ongoing maintenance of business systems and analytics platforms.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to gather, analyze, and document business, data, reporting, and analytics requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, system specifications, data requirements, workflows, and acceptance criteria that align with project goals.
- Develop and support data models in SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Datasphere, including data modeling, data flows, and data virtualization.
- Develop and support analytical models, dashboards, enterprise reporting solutions, and business-facing analytics using SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Implement and support data ingestion, transformation, harmonization, and integration processes across multiple data sources, including SAP BW/HANA and SAP Datasphere.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, development teams, QA, engineers, and data platform teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and solutions.
- Work closely with QA and engineering teams to review story requirements, validate system functionality, support testing, and confirm reporting accuracy.
- Provide support by troubleshooting issues, conducting impact analysis, supporting performance tuning, and recommending practical solutions.
- Create flow diagrams, technical documentation, reporting specifications, process documentation, and solution documentation for stakeholders.
- Support implementation, training, production support, platform optimization, and ongoing maintenance of business systems and analytics solutions.
What you will bring:
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as a Business Systems Analyst, SAP Datasphere Consultant, SAP analytics consultant, or equivalent technology industry background.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere, including data modeling, data flows, data virtualization, and integration with enterprise data sources.
- Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW/HANA, or similar SAP data and analytics platforms.
- Experience developing or supporting enterprise reporting solutions, dashboards, analytical models, and data-driven decision-support tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data, business requirements, and reporting needs.
- Ability to identify and solve business and technical problems through practical, scalable, and well-documented solutions.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to understand stakeholder needs and convey technical information clearly to business and technical audiences.
- Understanding of technology and complex multi-platform applications, including databases, integrations, analytics platforms, and enterprise reporting environments.
- Effective documentation skills, including the ability to create reports, manuals, workflows, user stories, data requirements, and system specifications.
- Proven experience with Agile methodologies, cross-functional teams, and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
What will set you apart:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, business, or a related field.
- Experience with SAP Business Data Cloud implementation, configuration, or analytics solution delivery.
- Prior experience integrating SAP BW/HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other enterprise data platforms.
- Experience supporting data ingestion, transformation, harmonization, and reporting modernization initiatives.
- Prior production support, troubleshooting, platform optimization, or performance tuning experience.
- Experience as a QA analyst, developer, data analyst, reporting analyst, or analytics engineer.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and experience working with product owners, engineers, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to bridge the gap between business users, enterprise data teams, and technical delivery teams.

Base Salary Range
$65,600.00 - $92,675.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
