As a Channel Manager at Empower, you will play a key role in supporting asset retention initiatives across various market segments. You’ll collaborate closely with the Channel Director and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for service adoption, both in new sales and existing plan retention. Your contributions will help strengthen client relationships and drive strategic growth through effective communication, data management, and operational execution.
What you will do
Partner with the Channel Director to manage plan termination and campaign-related operations, including campaign assignments, mailings, and performance reporting
Coordinate with Empower Retirement Marketing to ensure all materials are current and accessible on the Merrill web portal
Provide support for plan termination and M&A-related opportunities (e.g., acquisitions, large layoffs, forced retirements), working with the deconversion team, field representatives, and plan sponsors
Manage outbound call lists: assign leads to the sales team, facilitate contact information searches, and track/report activity in Salesforce.com
Assist Channel Directors with follow-up tasks stemming from partnership discussions and strategic initiatives
Conduct research and prepare summaries for escalations, including system analysis, call documentation, and end-to-end case narratives
Respond to data inquiries and resolve communication requests (e.g., MiM requests, phone call follow-ups, marketing collateral needs)
Serve as the primary point of contact for plan event needs, including roll-in campaigns, acquisition engagement, and individual outreach requests
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience
5 - 8 years’ experience in retirement services
Previous financial services industry experience dealing with complex life events and/or retail, IRA, and 401k customer service experience
What will set you apart
Basic working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and various file manipulation skills on a PC
Excellent communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a high-paced environment to complete tasks within established timelines
Ability to travel as needed

Base Salary Range
$70,800.00 - $99,975.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
