The Consumer Directed Health Strategy & Engagement Director is an individual contributor role supports the development and execution of Empower’s Consumer-Directed Healthcare (CDH) segment strategy. The Director focuses on the positioning, adoption, and integration of CDH solutions, including Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Commuter Benefits, and related offerings. The role requires regular collaboration with sales, relationship management, product, marketing, and consulting teams to support business growth and client retention. It reports to the Head of CDH and serves as a primary liaison between segment leadership and the CDH team.
What you will do
Act as a subject matter resource and internal advocate for Empower’s CDH products and services
Collaborate with sales, relationship managers, and other segment stakeholders to support new business pursuits, finalist presentations, and client retention strategies
Position unique products that are inclusive of a brokerage platform that allows for the offering of individual securities
Represent the CDH business in external-facing engagements, including meetings with clients, consultants, and prospects
Partner with internal teams (e.g. marketing, legal, operations) to ensure accurate and aligned messaging, positioning, and delivery models across segments
Lead the development of segment-specific campaigns, enablement materials, and go-to-market positioning strategies
Deliver training and internal education on CDH product value, positioning frameworks, and relevant industry trends
Support thought leadership activities by contributing to internal briefings, industry events, and external communications
Maintain an understanding of competitive positioning, client needs, and evolving benefit strategies to inform Empower’s CDH segment approach
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of experience in benefits, healthcare, or financial services
Experience in client-facing, consultant-facing, or sales support roles
Ability to communicate complex benefit concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated success working cross-functionally and influencing in a matrixed organizational environment
What will set you apart
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH) or health/benefits designation
Previous focus on CDH or workplace benefits
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in presentation and messaging development

Base Salary Range
$94,200.00 - $133,050.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
