The Nonqualified Operations Specialist is responsible for accurate and efficient processing and quality review of complex participant level transactions on non-qualified retirement accounts record kept in Metrix and Pega systems. These transactions include census files, deferral rosters, enrollment, and distribution processing. In addition, the specialist role supports wire monitoring, client reporting and other non-transaction based tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain departmental established productivity and quality goals
  • Process and quality review complex transactions; including owning a designated book of business supporting highly visible and/or complex clients
  • Support wire monitoring, client reporting and other non-transaction based tasks.
  • Identify, raise, and implement improvements to processes
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic and personal accountability


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (or work experience equivalent) in Business, Finance, or similar field
  • 1-2 years of non-qualified plan related experience in operational processing
  • Demonstrated understanding of the non-qualified product and industry, including 409a guidelines
  • Knowledge of the Empower services, products, policies and procedures and the impact of their processing as it relates to these items
  • Demonstrated excellence and attention to detail in complex transaction processing
  • Experience conducting quality review
  • Advanced decision making and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formatting, macros and VLookup
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented and have analytical ability for in-depth research
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
