As an Executive Planner at Empower, you will be responsible for providing benefits optimization reviews and comprehensive financial planning services to highly compensated (executive) participants. This role requires an understanding of financial services, investment strategies, tax planning, estate planning, and risk management. The Executive Planner will work closely with executives to optimize workplace benefits and provide customized financial plans that align with their long-term financial objectives.
What you will do
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with highly compensated participants
Work with executives to optimize their benefits initially and annually
Develop comprehensive financial plans tailored to the individual needs and goals of the executives you work with
Recommend, implement, and review investment strategies that align with clients’ risk tolerance and financial objectives
Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting investments
Provide guidance on tax-efficient investment strategies and planning and collaborate with other professionals as needed
Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement appropriate risk management strategies
Mentor and guide your team while fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA, preferred.
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required
FINRA Series 7, NASAA Series 63 and 65, and life insurance licensing required
FINRA fingerprinting required
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning or wealth management, with a focus on high-net-worth clients
Proven track record of developing and managing comprehensive financial plans
Strong knowledge of investment strategies, tax planning, estate planning, and risk management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards
Proficiency in financial planning software (MoneyGuidePro, Naviplan, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite

Advanced degrees or certifications beyond CFP such as CPA or CFA
Extensive experience in executive benefits consulting
Demonstrated leadership in high-performance financial advisory teams

Base Salary Range
$111,800.00 - $162,125.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
